Sweet Bread: Breakfast or Tea Time Treat. Grab a slice for breakfast when you are in a rush. Or can also be used at tea time instead of cake. Freeze in slices wrapped in cling film. One slice doesn't look much but it is really filling.



  1. Get all your equipment out: loaf tin, scissors, baking parchment, scales, food mixer if you have one, butter knife, tablespoon, teaspoon, spatula, skewer, cooling rack
  2. Set oven to 170 degrees C
  3. Line loaf tin with baking parchment

  4. Measure all store cupboard ingredients directly into mixing bowl
  5. Break eggs directly into mixing bowl
  6. Peel bananas break into three or four pieces and add
  7. Mix on a low speed at first and then turn up speed
  8. Mix until all banana is combined and batter is smooth (if you are using a wooden spoon rather than a mixer just make sure your banana is mashed before you add to the dry ingredients)
  9. Pour into lined tin and scrape bowl with spatula
  10. Bake in oven for 1 hr 15 minutes, test a skewer comes out clean
  11. Turn out onto a cooling rack, peel off baking parchment
