FOSM Newsletter November 2022

Dear all, welcome back to a new term and to our first newsletter of the year.  We are Friends of Swanton Morley (FOSM), and we are here to help raise funds for the school and to help the children make memories during their time at Swanton Morley school, from discos, to fairs to Christmas gifts and fun prizes.

We have listened to you and heard communication for our events needs to be move visible, so we are hoping to bring out a monthly newsletter to help you get more involved.

Last year we held the following fundraising events – school discos, Easter fair, Jubilee fair, sponsored walk along with designing your own Christmas cards and supporting the village with events including a cycling sportive and the popular fireworks display.  We were lucky enough to have a generous donation from the parish council of the new trim trail and with our funds were able to repair the well-loved trim trail, we have also been able to help donate towards a PE t shirt for each new pupil starting the school and subsidising leavers hoodies.

We are always looking for more volunteers and would love to hear from all parents with ideas and suggestions, please get in touch with us via (Friendsofswantonmorleyschool@gmail.com)

We will be holding our next meeting Monday 7th November at 6pm in the school.  All are welcome to come join us and if you are unable to make it, please be sure to send any suggestions you have to the above email address.
