Your Gift At Work

We want to enable as many state school pupils as possible to have the opportunity to experience and study Latin, Ancient Greek, Classical Civilisation and Ancient History. What makes Classics unique is the subject matter: it expands minds, encourages a love of learning, and helps children and young people develop critical thinking.

Its effect on those who have studied it up to age 16 is known to be dramatic in its fostering of a wide range of skills highly relevant to the work place, particularly clear and persuasive communication and linguistic skills, and personal cultural development.

These qualities and skills underpin achievement in architecture, art, languages, mathematics, science, sport and business in the 21st century.

In order to deliver the range of Classics in the classroom that our children, teachers, parents and communities deserve, the projects we fund must be given the chance to work in the long-term. To achieve this, we need to raise over £500,000 each year and keep our costs to an absolute minimum.
