Trusts and Foundations

Trusts and foundations are playing an increasingly crucial role in the work of Classics for All.

They enable us to develop projects and partnerships to reach out to children in state schools across the country by contributing to communities, creativity, education, heritage and the development of Classics for the 21st century, promoting appreciation of their benefits by people of all ages and backgrounds.

We need continued support from trusts and foundations so that we can:

  • support new projects and initiatives for teaching Classics in state schools;
  • engage children and young people (as well as their families and communities) in Classics-focussed activities;
  • add to the legacy of excellent education and lifelong-learning;
  • help develop more teachers to ensure that the resources needed to teach Classics continue to meet the demand and need for Classics in the 21st century;
  • reach out to new audiences and beneficiaries of Classics in an accessible way, including development of online and digital platforms;
  • strategically develop Classics in regions of the U.K. that have very limited Classics provision;
  • advocate the benefits of learning Latin, Ancient Greek, Classical Civilisation and Ancient History in a focussed and tangible way;
  • contribute to community cohesion across the country by providing Classics for All.

Please call Maxwell Singh, our Development Director, on 07740 482765, or send an email to maxwell@classicsforall.org.uk if your trust or foundation would like to get involved, or if you have suggestions for possible sources of support from particular trusts and foundations.
